Practise the art of mindfulness
Not as “new-agey” as it might sound. Great leaders have the skill of being able to tune in to what is really going on around them, as a vital source of valuable information and insight.
So start now.
Notice how people react to you and to each other. Feel their emotions. Sense the atmosphere in a room. Pay attention to your hunches.
The possibility to ‘connect’ powerfully with your team, and other key stakeholders for that matter, will allow you – and them – to adapt more responsively and collaboratively to changing circumstances as they occur inside and outside your organisation.
